When your garage door stops working in Los Angeles, the person who shows up matters as much as the parts they carry. Our crew at Bramwell Garage Doors Los Angeles is made up of people who live and work in this city, know its neighborhoods street by street, and have spent years learning what actually breaks on garage doors here, from the salt air near Playa del Rey to the dry heat in the Valley. Every technician on this page has passed a background check, wears a Bramwell uniform, and operates under the same Kingswell standard we’ve held since 2001. These are the faces behind the work, and we think you should know who’s pulling into your driveway.
Our People
Marcus Ellery, Owner & Lead Technician
Marcus founded Bramwell Garage Doors Los Angeles and still runs calls most days because he believes the person quoting the job should be the person who understands the job. He’s been working on residential garage doors since before the first iPhone came out, and over that time he’s seen every failure mode a Los Angeles home can throw at a door: rusted torsion springs in coastal neighborhoods, sun-baked opener gears in the Valley, rollers that grind themselves down in the hills where everything shifts after a wet winter. Marcus trains every technician who wears the Bramwell uniform, and his rule is simple: if you wouldn’t put it on your own garage, you don’t put it on a customer’s garage. When he’s not on a ladder, he’s usually at a taco stand in Boyle Heights or watching a soccer match he swears he won’t get emotionally invested in.
Dominic R., Senior Installer
Dom has spent fourteen years installing and replacing garage doors across Los Angeles County, and he’s the guy we send when a homeowner wants a new door to look like it was always meant to be there. He’s certified to install and service doors from LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Genie, Clopay, Amarr, Wayne Dalton, Craftsman, and Raynor, and he can tell you within a few minutes whether a rail system will clear the ceiling joists in a 1920s bungalow or a 1990s tract home. Dom lives in the San Fernando Valley with his wife and two dogs, and he’s learned the hard way that installing a heavy steel door at noon in August is a different job than installing it in January. He drinks more water than anyone else on the crew and will tell you exactly why the old door failed once he’s got it on the ground.
Rebecca T., Service Coordinator
Rebecca is the voice on the phone when you call (213) 996-0290 at 2 a.m. because your door won’t close and your car is stuck inside. She’s been coordinating emergency repair calls for six years, and she can usually tell from your description whether you’re looking at a broken spring, a stripped gear, or a door that’s off track. Rebecca grew up in Long Beach and has lived in Los Angeles her whole life, so when you say “the door is making a metal-on-metal scraping sound,” she knows exactly what to ask next. She schedules every job with a real arrival window, not a four-hour shrug, and she’ll tell the technician what you told her so nobody shows up surprised. On her days off, she’s hiking in Griffith Park or arguing about which taco truck in East LA is the best one.
Alex P., Apprentice Technician
Alex joined the crew two years ago after working as a mechanic, and he took to garage door work fast because the logic is similar: figure out the system, find the problem, fix it once. He rides along with Marcus and Dom on larger jobs and handles basic service calls on his own, like opener remotes, sensor alignments, and roller replacements. Alex is working through his certification track on all major brands, and he’s the reason we can get to more Los Angeles homes in the same day when a door goes down. He drives a motorcycle when it’s not raining, which in LA means most of the year. Ask him about it and you’ll get an earful about traffic on the 101.
Styles & brands we work with

One Standard, Every Job
Every Bramwell location, including ours here in Los Angeles, is independently owned and operated, but each one has agreed to uphold the full Kingswell standard on every call. We call it the Kingswell Way: say the price before the work, show up in the window, leave the place cleaner than we found it, put the guarantee in writing, and come back if it fails. That means a written price is delivered before any work starts, no exceptions. It means the number on the invoice matches the number you heard. And it means every repair carries the 365-Day Done Right Promise in writing, covering the repair for a full year. If a covered repair fails inside that guarantee period, we come back and correct it at no charge, which is the promise in writing, not just spoken at the door.

Garage doors in Los Angeles don’t all fail the same way. A torsion spring in Silver Lake might snap because it’s fifteen years old and tired. The same spring in Venice might fail from rust because the salt air gets into everything. Our technicians know the difference because they’ve seen thousands of doors across this city, and they know which parts hold up in which neighborhoods. That local knowledge means faster diagnosis, fewer return trips, and a more honest conversation about whether you need a repair or a replacement. When your door is down and your car is stuck inside, that kind of local knowledge is exactly what gets you moving again.
Call Us and Talk to a Real Person
A live person answers our phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including nights, weekends, and holidays. No voicemail tree, no next-business-day callback. Call (213) 996-0290 and you’ll speak to somebody who can book your appointment and give you a clear answer about what happens next. The technician will arrive in a Bramwell uniform with a written price before any work starts, and the job will be protected by the 365-Day Done Right Promise. That’s how we’ve operated since 2001, and that’s how every member of this team works on every job.
